Today, while speaking with Regent Releasing’s Theatrical Marketing Manager, Bryan Westbrook, about the 2009 promotion schedule for Little Ashes, he asked if we would like to break the news about a certain Little Ashes star taking the cover of a major magazine.

The April edition of the magazine, GQ , will be featuring Robert Pattinson on its cover, to promote the March 27, 2009 release of Little Ashes. Should I ever earn the privilege of interviewing the Prime Minister (and I’ve got some choice questions for him), I doubt he will be as difficult to access as the young British actor Robert Pattinson.

In exchange for eight precious minutes with Pattinson, the former Harry Potter regular and current star of the tween vampire movie Twilight (which opens today), I not only faced the usual flotilla of handlers, but also several layers of boutique hotel security, followed by a Get Smart-like series of locked double doors leading to a secret penthouse loft. Once inside, I was stared down by two burly, very still men I assume were bodyguards. I wonder where the panic room was located?

In fairness, the Prime Minister is only a leader of the country. He’s never been swarmed by thousands of insane, screaming tweenage girls, as Pattinson was a mere hour before we met. And tweenage girls, not boring old prime ministers, are running the cultural show today — because they’re the only people with any money. Maybe our auto plants should start making Hannah Montana and High School Musical gimcracks.

Robert Pattinson and Paramore frontwoman Hayley Williams sit down at Hollywood’s Velvet Margarita to sink their teeth into Myspace’s Artist on Artist.

The duo, who are featured on Twilight’s #1 soundtrack, interviewed each other about their experiences growing up, their passions and what was life before Twilight.

Hayley, 19, recently revealed that she has yet to finish the book series! She shared, “I’ve read the whole series, and I’m finishing up ‘Breaking Dawn’ right now, I’ve got five chapters to go. It’s tough, though! Now that I’m home, I’m so unfocused that I can’t sit down and finish it … but I’m going to before the film.”
